Play Reflection

this is a short paragraph about our plays Yesterday we performed our plays and my group was called Morning muddle when we did our plays we felt nervous but after we felt a little confident . Then Miss lavakula asked us some Questions and the Question that i asked was that you need a clear loud voice for people to hear you. And after my play I felt excited

Esther

Today in C.R.E Mrs Clark told us a story about Esther.

There was a king called king Xerxes that had a wife called Queen Vashati. the king was a show off so he said to the messenger tell my with to put on her Fancy dress and show off the wife said No the king was Furious so the king vanished her. The king felt lonely so he held a beauty contest. Esther got chosen to be in the contest she had a cousin called Mordecai And she was not aloud to tell that she was a juke. She got chosen to be the new queen and the king held a party for the new queen Esther.



We are learning to be and do the best that we can. We can do this by?  I like being the best me

Basketball

Today Room 13 went to basketball and these are the things we did in basket ball This morning room 13 went in the hall to do basketball. The first thing that we did in basketball was line tiggy to warm us up.If you get tagged the person that tagged you has to give you the ball then you tag someone. I got tagged and i felt a little tired. Then we learned how to shoot, dribble, flick, and bend knees. After we learned you can’t block with your arms wide open. Or that will be a foul the other thing we learned was putting the ball in the pocket. And putting the ball on our shoulder and flick your finger then shoot the ball. The last thing that we did was. We shooted the ball in the hoop then we had to get the ball in the hoop 10 times. We had to beat each other at shooting the ball in the hoop. And i got 2 basketballs in the hoop\

It's easy to say sorry

Today we learned  about a story in the bible. It was about Onesimus, philemon and Paul.
Onesimus stole from philemon and ran away to Rome. There, he met Paul.

Paul wrote a letter on the behalf of Onesimus. Onesimus returned back to colossae and said I'm sorry.



I think it's easy to say sorry to people when they will forgive you

Now Onesimus is a follower of Jesus

Cross country 2013

On Thursday 22nd August Pt England School were doing cross country. We all had to line up on the hard courts in our age group lines. Lots of people were wearing their house colours. I am in Te Arawa and had a red tee shirt on. The 9 year old girls and boys had to run 1.5 km around the field and the reserve . It took a long time to get to my race. I was so hot waiting for my turn that I started feeling tired and I hadn’t even had my race yet. Suddenly Mrs Jarman was telling us to stand up, we were finally going to the start line. Mr Burt was waiting for us. He told us where our race was going to be. We were nervous and had butterflies in our stomachs, there was a buzz of excitement as we waited for Mr Burt to start the race. Mr Burt then said to us “Take your marks, Set,” then he pushed the button on his loudspeaker making the siren go and we were OFF!!! We ran through the squelchy bog and around the reserve. The mud oozed between my toes as I was running. We were gasping for air and jogging slowly. Lucky there were cones and teachers around the field to show us where to go. When I got closer to the end I felt relieved that the race was almost over. Finally i reached the finish line and went to the drink station to get a drink. When my race finished I was really tired and couldn’t wait to sit down. Miss Lavakula was waiting for us on the courts. She wanted to watch her son Darius start his race before we went back to class. Once his race started and he was out on the reserve we came back to class to change into our school uniform and get ready to go home. I was glad Cross Country was over.
